Cowboys, Indians and Cajuns

This 8-day, 7-night tour through Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana is a complete experience of Cowboys, Indians and Cajuns. While in Oklahoma City, visit the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum, the National Cowboy Museum and Western Heritage Center and Cattlemen’s Steakhouse in Stockyards City.

Travel into southern Oklahoma and learn about the Chickasaw people at the Chickasaw Cultural Center, Chickasaw Capitol and Council House Museum. You will tour a horse farm in north Texas and then tour the AT&T Stadium, where the National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys play football. In northern Louisiana, you will stop in Natchitoches, where the film “Steel Magnolias” was filmed.

Traveling into the southern parishes, you will visit McIlhenney Company Pepper Sauce (Avery Island) and enjoy a Jean Laffite Swamp tour before reaching your hotel in downtown New Orleans. You will enjoy a paddle-wheeler cruise on the Mississippi River and have two free evenings in New Orleans to shop and dine.

  • View the plantation areas along the historic Cane River

Day 6  

  • Tour of Avery Island and the McIlhenney Company
  • Boat tour through the heart of Southern Louisiana’s swamplands,
  • Dining and shopping in New Orleans (Free evening)

Day 7  

  • New Orleans city tour
  • Paddle wheel cruise on the mighty Mississippi River
  • Dining and shopping in New Orleans (Free evening)

Day 8

  • Fly-out of Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport
